To All Plumbers:
Our President, Phil Cocchiaro, attended the Building Code Review Board's meeting on February 12th in regards to the use of Purple Primer.  They would not take visuals at this meeting, but have set up a Public Hearing for March 12th at 10am at the Hazen Dr. Dept. of Safety Building, 2nd floor Conference Room to hear input on the topic.

Phil was optimistic and believes that the more people who show up against the use of Purple Primer, the better the chances are for preventing the Mandatory use of it on April 1, 2010. 
Hope to see all those that can make it there.  The more people who physically show up for this hearing will weigh heavy on any decision the Committee might make.

Please be advised that effective August 17, 2007 the State of NH has adopted the 2006 International Plumbing Code and the 2006 International Residential Code.  Codes Books are now available through the International Code Council, www.iccsafe.org or through any on-line bookstore.  Please feel free to contact the Plumbing Board if you have any questions.

Plumbers' Licensing Board meetings are open to the public and you are always welcome to attend.  If you plan on attending, please contact the office in advance to confirm that the meeting will take place as scheduled.  All board meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 9:00 am at the office on 21 South Fruit Street, (Second Floor) Concord NH  03301.  Please join them!
Apprentice Information

HOW TO APPLY
Any individual who desires to be employed as an apprentice plumber in the State of New Hampshire must apply with the Plumbers' Licensing Board (271-3267). They will issue him/her a yellow identification card, which must be carried at all times and presented to an inspector upon request. Each year they will mail a renewal form at the beginning of his/her birth month, which must be completed and returned before the last day of the month. They will renew your I.D. card only if you are currently enrolled in the apprenticeship program (Labor Board & Dept. of Education). they will then mail an updated I.D. card.
